The world of cute little munchies is a magical world. A smile on a baby’s face means the whole world for the mother. But motherhood is no easy job, specially if you are a new mother. The journey for the first timers is laden with challenges. Your baby won’t be able to tell you their problem. A mother therefore has to be on a constant watch.
One of the most frequent problems faced by mothers is how to take care of a severe diaper rash. If we listen to our grannies then the best thing to do is to let the babies live freely without any diapers. However, that is highly impractical in our day to day lives. But at the same time, a wet diaper is a little too dangerous for the baby’s health. Not only there is a probability of getting a rash but the baby can easily catch cold. But even after a watchful care, chances are very high that the infant might develop rashes. The severity of the rashes can be guessed from its redness. Sometimes rashes can become so harsh as to become blisters and cause bleeding.
More often than not, a rash can be developed because of either of the two reasons;
1. A yeast infection: This occurs mostly because of negligence. Diapers need to be changed every four 4 to 5 hours. Moist and warm environment spurs the growth of yeast.
2. Newly formed resistance or allergy to a certain product: Food, medicine or products of daily use by the infant. It has been noticed that some infants are allergic to citrus fruits. Chemicals in certain products of daily use like soaps and lotion can break out in the form of rashes.
